Our 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course complies with Ofsted guidelines for those wishing to be qualified paediatric first aiders. It is suitable for teachers, TAs, other primary school and nursery staff, nannies, child-minders and others looking after children in an Early Years setting. The 12 hour course is deliverd via blended learning, which comprises of 6 hours completed online by candidates before one day training in the classroom. The online element is very interactive and can be completed in as many stages as each candidate requires. It can also be used as a tool to refresh and recap skills after the course has been completed. The training is hands on, giving you plenty of opportunity for practicing CPR, choking, bleeding control and recovery position amongst other skills, all in a fun non threatening environment, meaning you learn more easily. Assessment includes practical observation of skills taught and multiple choice question papers.
The Paediatric First Aid qualification can be gained on an Open Course or if you have a group to train, on an In House course at your venue.
Childminders in Kent are required to undertake their First Aid training from an approved training organisation such as Peak Skills. They are required to complete the 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course to complete their registration and retake the training once the certificate expires after 3 years.
Nursery workers are required to undertake their First Aid training from an approved training organisation such as Peak Skills. Nurseries are required to have staff with the 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course relating to numbers of children in attendance. Extra cover and support can be provided by staff with the 6 hour Emergency Paediatric First Aid course.
Nannies on the voluntary register are required to undertake their training from an approved training organisation such as Peak Skills. They are required to complete the 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course to complete their registration and retake the training once the certificate expires after 3 years.
Au Pairs, Parents & Babysitters can choose to undertake either course.

Open Course
The Paediatric First Aid course is £100 per person - choose 12 hour from the form below. One class-based day follows an online element which will be accessible to you 2 weeks before your chosen class-based date.
The Emergency Paediatric course is £75 per person - choose 6 hour from the form below.
Open courses are held in Southborough and run from 9.30am - 4.30pm.
Blended Course
All our “open” 12 hour courses are completed by blended training - part online and part class-based. You can also choose to have a blended in house course. Please contact us for more information on blended courses.
